  1. Single Application:
  • Each candidate is allowed to apply to only one RRB and only one common ONLINE application should be submitted for any or all of the notified posts as per their eligibility. Applications to more than one RRB will lead to rejection of all the applications.
  1. Exam Group Selection:
  • Candidates possessing more than one minimum educational qualification, mapped to different Exam Groups, can choose any one Exam Group, provided they opt for the post(s) whose educational qualification is mapped to the chosen exam group.
  1. Provisional Eligibility:
  • Eligibility of the candidates will be provisional based on details furnished by the candidates in the ONLINE application. Certificates/documents supporting Educational Qualifications and Age/Caste/Category/Community shall be sought at the time of Document Verification by RRB.
  1. Disqualification:
  • A candidate will be disqualified forthwith if found that the information furnished by the candidate is false/incorrect, or if the candidate has suppressed any relevant information, or does not satisfy the eligibility criteria for the post(s).
  1. Crucial Date for Claim:
  • The crucial date for claim of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/EBC status or any other benefit like fee concession, reservation, age relaxation, etc., will be the closing date for submission of ONLINE applications against this CEN.
  1. Medical Fitness:
  • Candidates must ensure they fulfil the prescribed medical standards for the post(s) they are opting for. Candidates who are found medically unsuitable for the opted post(s) shall not be given any alternative appointment.

  • Negative Marking: There will be negative marking @1/3rd mark of allotted marks for every wrong answer in CBT.
  • Normalization of Marks: Marks will be normalized as per Para No. 14.1 & 14.2 of the notice.

Application Process:

  1. Create an Account:
  • During the ONLINE APPLICATION, candidates will be asked to ‘Create an Account’. If a candidate has already created an Account for CENs notified in 2024, they should use the same account credentials to log in and apply for this CEN.
  1. Modification of Application:
  • After submission of the ONLINE application, if a candidate wishes to modify, change or correct any detail except those filled in ‘Create an Account’ form, they may do so by paying a modification fee of ₹250/- (non-refundable) from 30.08.2024 to 08.09.2024.

Banned Items During Examination:

  • Communication devices and electronic gadgets like mobile phones, Bluetooth, pen drives, laptops, calculators, smartwatches, bangles, chains, bracelets, hearing aids, wallets/purses, belts, shoes, metallic wears, etc., or any stationery items like pen/pencil, shall NOT be allowed.
  • Cloakroom arrangements for safekeeping of belongings may not be available at exam venues. Candidates are advised not to bring valuables/banned items.

General Instructions:

  1. Provisional Admission:
  • Admission to all stages of the recruitment process shall be provisional, subject to the candidate satisfying all the prescribed eligibility conditions.
  1. Verification of Eligibility:
  • Verification of eligibility conditions (with reference to the original documents) will be conducted only after the candidates have qualified in all stages of examination and are shortlisted for Document Verification.
  1. Disqualification for Multiple Applications:
  • Candidates submitting more than one application against this CEN will be summarily rejected and will be debarred from all future examinations of RRBs and Railway Recruitment Cell (RRCs).
  1. Debarment for False Information:
  • Candidates who have been dismissed from service by the Government of India/State Government/PSU/any other Government Organizations are not eligible and should not apply.
  1. Uniform Signature:
  • Signatures of the candidate on all documents should be uniform and identical. Use of different signatures may result in disqualification.
  1. E-Call Letters:
  • E-call letters for CBTs and DV (as applicable) should be downloaded only from the websites of the RRBs concerned.

Posting and Training:

  1. Posting:
  • Selected candidates will be employed throughout their service on the Railway or Railway establishment in which they are posted on first appointment.
  1. Training:
  • Selected candidates will have to undergo training wherever prescribed, and only stipend will be paid during the training period.
  1. Security Bond:
  • Selected candidates shall execute Security and/or Indemnity Bond wherever necessary.
  1. Territorial Army Service:
  • Selected candidates who are finally appointed are liable for active service in Railway Engineers Unit of Territorial Army.
  1. Free Train Travel Facility:
  • Free sleeper class railway pass admissible to SC & ST candidates (on request) will be provided with their e-call letter for various stages of selection viz., CBTs/ DV/ medical examination.
