Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

A candidate must be:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Educational Qualifications

  1. Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – General:
  • Minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) in Graduation or equivalent grade.
  • Minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD) in Post-Graduation or equivalent grade.
  1. Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR:
  • A Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course / Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade (50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
  1. Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM:
  • A Master’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur or Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay, with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade (50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years
  • Candidates with M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualifications:
  • Upper age limit for M.Phil. candidates: 32 years
  • Upper age limit for Ph.D. candidates: 34 years
  • Age relaxation as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates.

Application Procedure

Selection Procedure

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

  • The preliminary examination will consist of objective type questions.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-II based on their performance in Phase-I.

Phase-II: Main Examination

  • The main examination will consist of both objective and descriptive type questions.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their performance in Phase-II.

Interview

  • The final selection will be based on the combined performance of the candidates in Phase-II and the interview.

Pay Scale and Benefits

  • Starting Basic Pay: ₹55,200/- per month
  • Pay Scale: ₹55,200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850(2)-86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 years)
  • Initial monthly gross emoluments: ₹1,22,717/- (approximately) excluding House Rent Allowance (HRA).
  • HRA: 15% of pay if accommodation is not provided by the Bank.

Reservations and Relaxations

  • Reservations and relaxations are provided for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates as per government norms.
  • Candidates claiming OBC reservation must produce a valid OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate.
  • EWS candidates must produce an Income and Asset Certificate in the prescribed format.
