1. Vacancies and Reservation

  • There are approximately 17727 vacancies. However, firm vacancies will be determined in due course and updated on the SSC website.

1.2 Reservation

  • Reservations for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, ESM, and PwBD candidates will be as per the extant Government Orders.

Note:

  1. The final allotment of posts will be based on merit-cum-preferences of the candidates.
  2. Candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the requirements of the posts before giving their preferences.
  3. Measurement of Physical Standards, Physical and Medical Tests will be conducted by the User Department after the final selection.

2. Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be either:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates belonging to categories (2), (3), and (4) above must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

4. Age Relaxation

5. Application Fee

  • Fee payable: ₹100/-
  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of the fee.

8. Important Instructions to Candidates

  • The candidature of the candidates will be purely provisional at all stages of the examination.
  • All candidates, irrespective of their categories, may be required to undergo a biometric impression test and photograph capture during the examination.
  • It is mandatory for candidates to bring a printout of their e-Admission Certificate along with an original photo identity card having the date of birth printed on it.
  • Candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for the posts.
